Everything Must Go Right
My submission to the 2025.1 Brackeys Game Jam
I interpreted 'Nothing Can Go Wrong' to mean the same as 'Everything Must Go Right'.So I made a puzzle platformer about only being able to go right.
Press Esc at any time to go back to the main menu
This is the shortest time I've ever had to make a game for a jam and I really enjoyed it! Definitely coming back for the next one.
Feel free to give feedback and tell me if you find any bugs as I'll probably come back and make a patch update once the jam is over.
Post-Jam Update 1.0:
Thank you so much to everyone who played my game, this was my first time doing a competitive jam like this and I could've never imagined it going this well. There were a lot of really great interpretations of the theme many of which probably deserve first place much more than I do. I've listed a few of them here though keep in mind this is just out of the ones that I've played.
Powderpath by Lizardlike- I thought a person made of gunpowder was a really funny sarcastic interpretation of the theme
Florordination by Tey- Really well constructed story around the theme that made the gameplay pretty tense as well
Only Right by ForingSan- Also used the idea of everything moving right but also combined it with the original idea of nothing going wrong in a really clever way
Game Changes:
I fixed a couple bugs people mentioned or I never got around to, namely getting stuck inside the portals and the portals breaking when the player moves too fast.
Added the option to navigate the main menu using keyboard controls, planning to do this for other menus as well
Made the time trial mode look nicer
I had planned on adding more levels with a new mechanic, though unfortunately I couldn't get it to work in time.I guess it's Left up to your imagination for now :)

Really fun and very creative!
Wow! This was a lot more fun than I anticipated. I got to level 9 and hit a bug (I think?) where I got trapped between the up/down portals in the middle. Still. really neat.
This gave me _strong_ Celeste vibes (a good thing!). I think you could certainly develop this further with more levels. Well done!
Thank you so much for playing! celeste is definitely one of my heaviest inspirations so I feel really honored to have my game compared to it lol
